7 (yes 7) chic and cheap redecorating ideas for this fall
Updated: Sep 23, 2020
I don’t know about you, but I’m ready to change up all my home decor as soon as that temperature outside drops below 70 degrees. I’m grabbing a giant dumpster and tossing all of my candles that smell like the beach into it, and making room for cooler temps style. Rich, deep colors, cozy blankets for the couch and candles that smell like apple pie or pumpkin pie. Because let’s be real, I don’t bake, but I love the smell of a pie. And even if you’ve been kicked out of your apartment, and are temporarily sleeping on your friend’s couch, that candles matters, man. It’s the difference between a two hour aroma affair of happiness and the smell of that damn cat litter box in the corner that no one ever cleans up.
Side note- You’re not going to get a “happy fall, y’all” blog here, and you’re welcome.
Anyway, let’s get into it. Check out these fall finds. It’s 2020, what else were you doing right now.
I need a blanket at all times while on the couch and watching a movie. Who watches a movie without a blanket? No one, that’s who. Here’s a cozy one to duck under during those Halloween Horror flicks you love so much.
Candles. You need them. I’m a huge fan of all scents Nest puts out. I don’t need them ever, but I want them, and I want them all. End of story. You can grab a votive or two to see which scents you like or hate, zero actual commitment. It’s just a scent, enjoy it. Check it out.
Let’s talk throw pillows. I get super bored with the same style pillows on my couch for too long. So it’s fun to grab some pillow covers and switch them out for the season. These throw pillow covers are super neutral and won’t overwhelm anything else you might have going on in the room.
Where my witches at? I did not forget about you! Also super neutral, but these throw pillow covers will give you that witch vibe you’re looking for this fall season.
Fall Garland for your mantel. Do you need it? Nope. Does it finish off a room nicely, yes. I’m personally super bored with the “Happy Fall” signs and I’m in love with some whimsy, so these felt balls (hold comments) hit the mark. And you’ll pay A LOT more at some super fancy stores I’ll refrain from mentioning, but trust me, this is a good deal.
I love a glowy dining table. But I don’t love a pretentious, overly dressed dining table. I think you know what I mean. The kind of table where you’re afraid to reach over 27 settings to grab the salt and potentially set your sleeve on fire. Give me a relaxed table setting all day long. Something fun for kids and adults. Throw these turkey votives on that table. Kids will giggle and your drunk uncle may make turkey noises while staring at it. Endless fun for the whole family. And your table will be glowy. Mission accomplished.
Want to add a little sass in your home? These succulent planters are it. Bright white, and you can pop a colorful (or not if you’re feeling morbid, you do you, boo) plant in this bad boy and immediately be labeled by all the women in your neighborhood, “boho”. They don’t know what it means, but that’s cool, this still fits. Enjoy.
